About the Visualization

This interactive 3D Earth model shows real-time WSPR propagation paths between amateur radio stations. Features include:

  • Real-time Data: Fetch live WSPR spots from the database
  • Call Sign Filtering: Filter by receiver and/or transmitter call signs
  • Frequency Band Colors: Each band has a distinct color
  • Day/Night Cycle: Multiple lighting modes including real-time accurate
  • Beacon Mode: View transmitter locations with time-based coloring

The visualization opens in a new window/tab and runs independently of this Quarto site.

How to Use

  1. Click the link above to open the WSPR visualization
  2. The visualization will load in a new window/tab
  3. Use the controls to load WSPR data and adjust settings
  4. You can close the visualization window and return to this site

This visualization uses data from the WSPR database at wspr.live, which aggregates WSPR spots from amateur radio operators worldwide.
